Questions & answers
A few things you might be wondering.
Is Rainbow Bridge free?
Yes. Creating a memorial, adding photos, and leaving tributes are all free.
What’s the difference between public and private?
A public memorial appears in the garden and anyone can view it and leave tributes. A private memorial is hidden from the garden and from search — only you (when signed in) and anyone you share the private link with can see it. You can switch a memorial between public and private at any time.
Who can see a private memorial?
Only you and the people you personally send the private invite link to. It never appears in the public garden or in search, and there is no way to stumble onto it without the link.
Can other people add photos and messages?
Yes — that’s the heart of it. Anyone visiting a memorial (or anyone with a private link) can leave a flower, light a candle, write a memory, and attach a photo of their own. As the owner you can hide or remove anything you’d rather not keep.
Do I need an account?
You need a free account (just an email and password) to create and manage memorials. Leaving a flower, candle, or message on someone else’s memorial does not require an account.
Can I edit or delete a memorial later?
Always. From your dashboard you can edit any memorial, change its privacy, remove individual photos or tributes, or delete the memorial entirely. Deletions are permanent.
Can I make a private memorial public later (or the other way around)?
Yes. Open the memorial, choose Edit, and switch the privacy setting whenever you like. Nothing else changes.
Is my pet’s memorial backed up?
Yes. Memorials and their photos are backed up automatically every day, with copies kept safely off-site, so a page you create is kept safe.
How do I share a memorial?
Open the memorial and copy its web address. For a private memorial, use the “Copy link” button on the page — that special link is what lets the people you choose view it and leave tributes.
Is there any advertising?
No. There are no ads and no clutter — just a quiet place to remember.
