Kiwi

Kiwi was a pocket-sized green-cheek conure with the confidence of a creature ten times her size. She rode around on shoulders, stole bites off forks, and tucked herself into shirt pockets for her afternoon naps.

She learned to say "hi bird," gave the gentlest beak kisses, and made a happy little chirr whenever her favorite person walked in. Eleven years of joyful, feathery chaos — and the house has never been so quiet.
